Comic strip "Doonesbury" Censored by its own Distributor

Gary Troudeau's comic strip "Doonesbury" has always been a bit controversial, and certainly unashamed about criticizing President Bush or the Iraq war. It's extremely popular though. According to this
article though, the head of its distributor wrote a letter to all its clients and asked for a vote, asking the baited question "It's time for a change. Do you agree?" A small majority voted to not carry the strip.

Yet, this head claims "This was not a political decision. I don't care one way or another." Liar! Why then is it time for a change for one of your more popular comic strips? If you're going to make a political statement through censorship, have the balls to stand behind it..
